Each year, the Idaho Association of Nurse Anesthetists (IDANA) sponsors a student to attend the AANA Mid-Year Assembly in Washington, D.C. held in April of each year. For the last several years, we had a tremendous opportunity to mentor a student and future leader as we advocated for our profession in Washington, D.C. Our preference is to sponsor a student that is from Idaho or a student that is planning to practice in Idaho, but we are also open to any student from Region 5.
The sponsorship includes reimbursement of expenses (meeting registration/travel/hotel, etc.) up to $3,000. Interested students should submit a CV and cover letter to info@idahoana.org outlining their career goals and how they want to be active members of our profession. The deadline is January 15th of each year.
This award is in honor of Rose Featherston, a founding member of IDANA in 1956.
