Hello Colleagues and Friends,

On May 11, 2019 the ALS Evergreen Chapter will be hosting the first annual Treasure Valley Tour de'Funk bicycle ride. This ride is to honor Darren Funk, a CRNA who was diagnosed with ALS in July of 2012. Darren practiced anesthesia in our community for 14 years before the progression of ALS made it impossible for him to keep working. Having to step away from the practice of anesthesia is only one of many gratifying life experiences Darren has had to surrender to this unforgiving disease, but he has contested ALS with his will and his wisdom and continues to persevere in the face of this disease every day.
